🧈 Perfectly balanced sweetness and richness make these rolls a delightful accompaniment to any meal or a satisfying snack on their own.

  • Total Time: 1 hour 55 minutes
  • Yield: 24 rolls

Ingredients

– 1 ΒΌ cups whole milk

– 2 ΒΌ teaspoons active dry yeast (one packet)

– ΒΌ cup honey

– 4 tablespoons melted butter (divided)

– 1 large egg (at room temperature)

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 4 cups (480 grams) all-purpose or bread flour

Instructions

1-First, heat the milk until steaming with small bubbles appear, then let it cool to lukewarm, around 80-90Β°F. Combine the milk, yeast, and honey, mixing well, and let it sit for 5 minutes to activate.

2-In a large bowl, mix 3 tablespoons of melted butter, the milk mixture, egg, salt, and half the flour until smooth, then gradually add the remaining flour to form a dough.

3-Next, knead the dough for 8 minutes, then on a floured surface knead a few more minutes until it’s elastic and smooth. Place the dough in a greased large bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour until it doubles in size. After rising, punch down the dough, roll it out to about Β½ inch thickness, fold it in half, and gently seal the edges.

4-Cutting and Baking Steps: Cut the dough into 24 even squares and place them on two lightly greased baking sheets. Cover the sheets and allow the rolls to rise for 30-40 minutes until doubled in size. Preheat the oven to 350Β°F and bake the rolls for 12-15 minutes until they turn light golden brown.

5-Finally, brush the tops with the remaining melted butter before serving to add extra shine and flavor.
