Instructions
1-First, heat the milk to a near boil until it’s steaming with small bubbles around the edges, then remove from heat and let it cool to lukewarm, about 80-90 degrees. This step ensures the yeast activates properly for a great rise.
2-In a small bowl, combine the lukewarm milk, yeast, and honey; let it sit for 5 minutes to get frothy and active.
3-In a large bowl, mix 3 tablespoons of the melted butter with the milk mixture, egg, salt, and half of the flour until it forms a smooth blend.
4-Gradually add the remaining flour and mix or knead for 8 minutes; continue kneading on a floured surface for a few more minutes until the dough is elastic.
5-Transfer the dough to a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
6-Punch down the dough, roll it out to Β½ inch thick, fold it in half, and gently seal the edges.
7-Cut the dough into 24 equal squares, place them on lightly greased baking sheets, cover, and let them rise for 30-40 minutes until doubled in size.
8-Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, then bake the rolls for 12-15 minutes until they are light golden brown.
9-Finally, brush the tops with the remaining melted butter before serving to add extra flavor and shine.
