🍞 Copycat Texas Roadhouse Rolls Recipe Made Easy at Home delivers soft, fluffy, homemade rolls perfect for complementing any meal.
🧈 These buttery, tender rolls are simple to make and can elevate family dinners or special occasions alike.

  • Total Time: 2 hours 55 minutes
  • Yield: 24 rolls

Ingredients

– 1 ΒΌ cup whole milk

– 2 ΒΌ teaspoons active dry yeast (1 packet)

– ΒΌ cup honey

– 4 tablespoons melted butter, divided

– 1 large egg, at room temperature

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 4 cups (480 grams) all-purpose or bread flour

Instructions

1-First, heat the milk to a near boil until it’s steaming with small bubbles around the edges, then remove from heat and let it cool to lukewarm, about 80-90 degrees. This step ensures the yeast activates properly for a great rise.

2-In a small bowl, combine the lukewarm milk, yeast, and honey; let it sit for 5 minutes to get frothy and active.

3-In a large bowl, mix 3 tablespoons of the melted butter with the milk mixture, egg, salt, and half of the flour until it forms a smooth blend.

4-Gradually add the remaining flour and mix or knead for 8 minutes; continue kneading on a floured surface for a few more minutes until the dough is elastic.

5-Transfer the dough to a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

6-Punch down the dough, roll it out to Β½ inch thick, fold it in half, and gently seal the edges.

7-Cut the dough into 24 equal squares, place them on lightly greased baking sheets, cover, and let them rise for 30-40 minutes until doubled in size.

8-Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, then bake the rolls for 12-15 minutes until they are light golden brown.

9-Finally, brush the tops with the remaining melted butter before serving to add extra flavor and shine.

Notes

πŸ§‚ Use fresh yeast and ensure it is not expired for best rising.
🌑️ If dough rises slowly, let it rise in an oven warmed to 200°F then turned off or over boiling water.
βš–οΈ Measure flour accurately by weighing or spooning to prevent dense rolls.
