Ingredients
– Two 25-ounce jars of marinara sauce
– 40 ounces of frozen cheese ravioli
– 2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese
– 1/2 cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese
– 1/3 cup of chopped fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
1- Spread half of one jar of marinara sauce evenly on the bottom of the prepared dish to create a solid base.
2- Layer half of the frozen ravioli over the sauce for an even distribution.
3- Sprinkle 1 cup of mozzarella cheese and 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese over the ravioli to add that melty goodness.
4- Repeat the layering by adding the remaining marinara sauce, the rest of the ravioli, and top with the remaining 1 cup of mozzarella and 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese.
5- Cover the dish with aluminum foil, making sure the sprayed side is down to avoid sticking.
6- Bake covered for 30 minutes, then remove the foil and bake uncovered for another 15 minutes until the cheese melts and the sauce bubbles perfectly.
7- Let the casserole sit for 5 minutes before serving, and garnish with fresh basil if you like that extra pop of flavor.
