🍯 Discover the perfect balance of crunchy pecans and sweet honey in this homemade granola, ideal for a healthy and delicious snack.
πŸ₯£ This Honey Pecan Granola offers a satisfying texture and natural sweetness, making it a versatile addition to breakfasts or on-the-go treats.

  • Total Time: 1 hour
  • Yield: About 4 cups

Ingredients

– 1/3 cup honey

– 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar

– 8 tablespoons salted butter (1 stick)

– 1 pinch salt

– 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

– 3/4 cup pecan pieces or halves

– 3 cups rolled oats

Instructions

1-First, preheat your oven to 300Β°F (150Β°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to avoid any sticking mess. This step sets the stage for even baking and easy cleanup later.

2-Next, in a medium pot, heat the honey, brown sugar, butter, and salt over medium heat. Stir occasionally until the butter melts and the sugar dissolves, which takes about 5 minutes.

3-Once that’s done, remove the pot from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract for that extra flavor boost. Now, add the pecan pieces and rolled oats to the pot and mix well until everything is fully coated. Spread the mixture evenly in a thin layer on your prepared baking sheet to help it crisp up nicely.

4-Bake it for 20 to 30 minutes until the edges turn golden brown. You can stir it halfway through if you want extra crispness, but it’s optional.

5-After baking, let it cool for about 30 minutes until it’s crisp, then break it into pieces by hand.

6-Finally, store the cooled granola in an airtight container for up to one month.

Notes

πŸ₯œ Use pecan pieces for cost savings; halves work fine and adjust quantity if using whole halves.
🌿 Add spices like cinnamon or cardamom before baking for extra flavor.
πŸ’ Add dried fruit or coconut flakes after baking to prevent sogginess.
