๐ŸŠ This easy recipe uses natural ingredients for a flavorful side or glaze perfect for any meal or occasion.

  • Total Time: 20 minutes plus chilling time
  • Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients

– โ…” cup (133 g) Sugar [Provides sweetness to counter the tartness]

– โ…“ cup (67 g), tightly packed Light brown sugar [Adds a rich, caramel-like flavor]

– โ…“ cup (78 ml) Water [Helps dissolve sugars and cook the berries]

– โ…” cup (157 ml) Orange juice [Infuses brightness and acidity]

– 12 oz (340 g), rinsed Cranberries [Main ingredient for tartness and texture]

Instructions

1-In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the โ…” cup (133 g) sugar, โ…“ cup (67 g) light brown sugar, โ…“ cup (78 ml) water, and โ…” cup (157 ml) orange juice. Stir occasionally until the sugars dissolve and the mixture comes to a boil.

2-Add the 12 oz (340 g) cranberries and return to a boil.

3-Reduce heat to a simmer and cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until most of the berries have burst and the mixture thickens slightly. Watch out, as it might splatter a bit.

4-Transfer the sauce to a bowl and let it cool at room temperature for at least 20 minutes.

5-Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving. The sauce will thicken more as it cools.
