Ingredients
– 3 lb chuck roast
– Salt, pepper, garlic powder (to taste)
– 1 tbsp olive oil
– 2 cups beef broth
– 1 tbsp minced garlic
– 1 tbsp ranch seasoning
– 1 tbsp steak seasoning
– 1 sliced onion
– Barbecue sauce (amount as desired)
– Horseradish sauce (amount as desired)
– Onion buns (as needed)
– Cheddar cheese (amount as desired)
Instructions
1-Prepare all ingredients by slicing the onion and mincing garlic. Trim excess fat from the 3 lb chuck roast for a leaner outcome.
2-Season the beef generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Place it in the crockpot and add the sliced onion, minced garlic, beef broth, ranch seasoning, steak seasoning, and olive oil.
3-Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4-5 hours until the beef is tender and easy to shred.
4-Remove the beef and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded beef to the crockpot to absorb the flavorful juices.
5-Preheat your sandwich rolls in the oven or toaster until warm. Layer the shredded beef and cheddar cheese onto the rolls for assembly.
6-Optionally, place the assembled sandwiches under a broiler for 2-3 minutes to melt the cheese just right.
7-Serve hot with your favorite sides, and remember to adapt for dietary needs like using plant-based protein if needed.
