1 teaspoon ground cinnamon for the spiced sugar coating

Β½ teaspoon ground nutmeg for the spiced sugar coating

Instructions

1-First, preheat your oven to 350Β°F and grease an 8 Β½ x 4 Β½-inch loaf pan to get things started.

2-Whisk together the dry ingredients 2 cups all-purpose flour, 1 Β½ cups granulated sugar, 2 teaspoons baking powder, and Β½ teaspoon salt in a large bowl. This ensures everything mixes evenly for that fluffy rise we all love!

3-Next, in another bowl, whisk the wet ingredients: 1 ΒΌ cups whole milk, 1 large egg at room temperature, 2 tablespoons melted unsalted butter, and 1 tablespoon vanilla extract until smooth. Pour this mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently just until combined the batter might look a bit runny, but that’s okay for a moist result.

4-Pour the batter into your prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 60-70 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs and the top is golden brown. Once done, cool the bread in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to parchment paper. While it’s still warm, brush the entire surface with ΒΌ cup melted unsalted butter and sprinkle on the mixture of Β½ cup granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, and Β½ teaspoon ground nutmeg to coat all sides.
