πŸ“ Strawberry Basil Chicken offers a fresh, vibrant twist on classic chicken dishes with sweet strawberries and fragrant basil.
πŸ— This recipe is quick to prepare and delivers juicy, flavorful chicken perfect for a light and healthy meal.

  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

– 3-4 large chicken breasts provides the main protein for a hearty meal

– 1-2 tablespoons olive oil used for cooking to add healthy fats and prevent sticking

– 3 garlic cloves, crushed infuses savory depth into the chicken

– 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar delivers the tangy base for marinating

– 1/2 teaspoon sea salt enhances overall flavor and balances the dish

– 1/2 teaspoon pepper adds a subtle kick and seasoning

– 2 cups chopped fresh strawberries brings natural sweetness and freshness

– 1 cup chopped fresh basil offers aromatic notes and herbal brightness

Instructions

1-Start by preparing your ingredients: Slice the fresh strawberries and chop the basil to have everything ready. Crush the garlic cloves and pat the chicken breasts dry for better searing.

2-Marinate the chicken: Mix the crushed garlic with 3 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar, then coat the chicken breasts and let them sit for at least 10 minutes while you heat the pan.

3-Heat a large skillet to medium heat and add 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil. Cook the chicken for 3-5 minutes per side until it’s golden brown and fully cooked through.

4-Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside. In a bowl, toss together the 2 cups of chopped strawberries and 1 cup of chopped basil.

5-Return the chicken to the skillet if desired, or top each piece directly with the strawberry-basil mixture. Season with 1/2 teaspoon sea salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper, adding extra balsamic vinegar for more tang.

6-For the grilling option: Heat your grill to medium-high, marinate the chicken as before, and grill for 6-8 minutes per side until done. Top with the strawberry-basil mix and serve right away.
