In a 2-quart baking dish, combine 1 cup of long grain white rice, 1 ยพ cups of boiling water (or 1 ยฝ cups if using Jasmine rice), 2 tablespoons of butter, and 1 teaspoon of salt. 2-Bake for 22 to 27 minutes or until the water is fully absorbed. Once removed from the oven, let the rice rest for 5 to 10 minutes to allow flavors to settle.
